Rachel White is a Family Nurse Practitioner who joins Lake County Tribal Health from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Rachel founded her clinical experience upon years of practice alongside the talented physicians and surgeons of the UCSD Cardiothoracic Surgery and Heart Transplant teams. During her time at UCSD, she was active in clinical research, presenting at international conferences on the topic of end-stage heart failure and heart transplant. It is now her distinct privilege to utilize this experience to serve her home community.

Growing up in Lake County, Rachel developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and the impact nutrition and a healthy relationship with food have on wellness. She is passionate about partnering with her patients and empowering them to take an active role in their health care, placing significant emphasis on patient education in her practice.

Rachel attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, where she earned her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology before earning her Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Azusa Pacific University in San Diego. Additionally, Rachel obtained a nurse education certification, which has allowed her to teach both new and experienced nurses in classroom and clinical settings.

Rachel enjoys travel, hiking, sunshine, concerts, and cooking for friends and family. On the weekends, you can find her out on the trails with her horse, Dillon. We wish Rachel prosperity in the organization and look forward to her contributions.
